The Legend
The story of Crystal Blue begins in the early 1990’s. Elliot Cotto was straight out of music school having studied classical guitar at Florida State University while Nick Pages had already established himself as a seasoned southern rock musician. Elliot hoped to put his training and theory into real practice while Nick was ready to leave the band scene to try something new. Together, they formed Crystal Blue with the idea of creating an authentic homage to the great classic songs of the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Their attention to detail and dedication to the development of their craft led to great success throughout the Tampa Bay Area, Sarasota, Bradenton and Central Florida. After a time, Elliot took on a solo career and eventually moved to Nashville. Nick, on the other hand, built Crystal Blue Sound Studios, a successful local studio, and established himself as a premier producer and engineer. While both musicians took different musical paths, Crystal Blue continued on. 28 years later after 10 unique band configurations with over a dozen different musicians, the band has come full circle with Elliot’s return. The upcoming show will be a reunion of the very first version where it all began. Be sure to check out Crystal Blue 1.0. They’re better than ever.
